What is the paddleNET NetworkSIG?

This is a new kind of professional networking - one built for the AI era instead of the social media era.

Instead of endless scrolling, cold outreach, posting in hopes of getting attention, resumes lost in portals, and algorithm-driven feeds, NetworkSIG uses AI agents to help surface meaningful matches between people based on:

Whether that means jobs, partnerships, mentorships, projects, opportunities, ideas, vendors, collaborations, or simply discovering people you should know, that’s what we are trying to build.

Why This Exists

Traditional networking is broken.

Most platforms create noise instead of signal. They trap people inside feeds, optimize for engagement, and waste enormous amounts of time.

AI changes this.

AI can now understand people at depth, identify relationships and opportunities across large networks, and help connect people based on real context instead of keywords and popularity contests.

This is networking at the speed of compute.

Not replacing human relationships - helping surface them.

How It Works

  1. Download the PID skill pack (Portable Identity Document template). It is not a traditional app with buttons and screens. It is a folder of templates, skills, and process files that your AI agent can read and use.
  2. Point your AI agent, such as Codex Desktop or Claude Desktop, to the PID skill pack on your machine. Ask it to build your Portable Identity Document. The agent reads the kit, asks what it needs from you, drafts your PID, and waits for your review and approval.
  3. Publish your PID at a URL you control, such as a Google Doc, OneDrive document, public Markdown file, or website page. You decide what goes into it and can update or remove it anytime.
  4. Submit your PID link to paddleNET with a valid Graph Key. paddleNET records your email, PID link, and access key, then gives you your own Graph Key to invite other people in the paddlesports ecosystem.
  5. Keep your PID current. On a regular schedule, such as weekly, ask your AI agent to run the PID maintenance skill. It reviews only the sources you approve, drafts updates for your review, and does not change your PID until you approve.
  6. Run network discovery locally. Your AI agent can request the current paddleNET PID link list, read member PIDs, and create a local report of possible matches, collaborators, needs, offers, opportunities, and useful signals.
  7. Review the results yourself. Your agent should label facts, inferences, and questions so you can decide what is useful, what is wrong, and what needs more context.
  8. Request an introduction only when you choose. If you want to connect with someone, your agent can send a contact request through the paddleNET cloud app. The other person reviews the request. If they approve, paddleNET sends a joint introduction email and you take it from there.
  9. Share optional telemetry only after review. Your agent may summarize whether the network discovery was useful, what types of signals helped, and what was missing. You review and approve that telemetry before anything is sent back to paddleNET.
  10. No social feed. No public profile browsing platform. No server-side AI matching. Most of the intelligence happens locally through your AI agent, using files and links you control.

Access is invitation-based. Participation requires a Graph Key from an existing member. This helps protect the integrity and focus of the network. Need a key? Contact us. Once you submit your PID, you will receive your own Graph Key to invite others in the paddlesports ecosystem.

Privacy, Data & Security

If you did not receive a Graph Key from an existing paddlesports NetworkSIG member, contact us and we will provide one for you. Once you submit your PID, you will receive your own Graph Key to invite others into the network.

Please use your key thoughtfully. Share it with people in the paddlesports industry - or those who genuinely want to become part of it. Invite co-workers, employees, collaborators, industry peers, and especially younger people emerging from schools and universities looking for opportunities and connections.

We are intentionally leaving much of this network growth in the hands of the community itself. This is your network. Protect its quality and integrity, but also use it to help good people find their way into the industry and contribute meaningful value to the ecosystem.

Your PID Is Not Public

NetworkSIG is not a public searchable profile platform.

Your submitted PID link is available to active NetworkSIG members and their AI agents through the member PID list. That is how local agents can read PIDs and look for useful matches. Do not treat your PID as private if you submit it to the network.

At minimum, include only your general location, such as region, city, state, or country. You may include your name if you want, but it is not required. Do not include sensitive identifying information such as email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, private client details, credentials, or anything you would not want another member’s agent to read.

paddleNET stores the email address and PID link you use to register. If you omit other identifying details from your PID, paddleNET does not need those details.

Your Data Stays Under Your Control

You control what goes into your PID.

You maintain and host your own PID using Google Docs, Microsoft OneDrive, or a text/Markdown-based format that is reachable by a URL you control.

How Data Is Processed

paddleNET primarily manages access and coordination. It:

paddleNET does not need to parse every PID or run server-side AI matching. AI agents on members’ devices do the reading, analysis, and matching work locally.

We may ask your agent to send anonymous, structured telemetry so we can learn whether NetworkSIG is useful and where it needs improvement. Your agent should show you exactly what would be submitted, and you must approve it before paddleNET receives it.

NetworkSIG currently runs on infrastructure that Eddie, the paddleNET human founder, built and operates directly from his own edge compute environment on his Colorado farm, including:

Some AI processing may utilize external AI providers, but the system is designed to minimize unnecessary personal exposure.

Your AI Agent And Your Data

If you use Codex Desktop, Claude Desktop, or another cloud-connected AI tool with the PID skill pack, that tool may send information to its own servers to process your requests and the kit instructions. paddleNET does not control those AI providers.

If you use an open-source local agent and a local model on your own computer equipment, more of that processing may stay on your machine. It is up to you to choose which AI tools and models you trust.

The PID skill pack is model-agnostic. It is designed to work with different AI agents, whether cloud-based or local.
